Volunteering at Katy Sip N Stroll is a great way to spend an evening with your friends and neighbors while unwinding from your day in the fresh, evening air! Support a fantastic charity, The Ballard House, in their quest to provide temporary housing in a warm, safe environment for individuals and their families who are receiving treatment of a serious medical condition.

Wine & Beer Pouring Volunteer Shift Time: 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Minimum Age Requirements
Volunteers must be 21 years of age to pour wine or beer samples. For those volunteers that are not yet 21 (but 18 or older) we do have other event volunteer opportunities during the event.TABC Certification Requirements
To pour alcoholic beverages, you must be 21 or over and a TABC certified server. Please bring your certificate to the event. If you do not have TABC certification, there are many online courses that take about an hour or two that provide you with a license immediately after you complete the course. Click Here

The location of the volunteer check-in area will be identified closer to the event. Check-in time will be 4:15pm. Please allow adequate time to allow for traffic, parking (to be discussed at a later time) and check-in.
Pouring Wine & Beer samples, answering questions about wine and beer products, keeping the sample table clean, staying at sampling table throughout the event, helping to clean up sampling table after event is over. Please be courteous and helpful to all participants and offer any assistance to those with special needs.On-Duty Rules
Volunteers may not (under any circumstances) over-indulge. Overindulgence on-site (or the appearance or suggestion of overindulgence) will result in immediate removal from the event. Attendance

Please allow adequate time to allow for traffic, parking (to be discussed at a later time) and check-in. Arrive at check-in at your scheduled shift time. Your breaks will be coordinated by your Volunteer Coordinator.Attire
For this event, please come dressed in resort casual attire and be sure to wear comfortable shoes because you will be standing for some time. We recommend closed toe shoes for your safety.Safety
All volunteers are required to print out the self-reported health screening form (emailed out closer to the event), check your temperature before you leave your house, bring the form with you to the event, have your temperature taken upon arrival and log it. Then turn in your sheet upon leaving the property.
Volunteers will be required to wear face coverings. Face coverings will be provided if you don’t have one.
All volunteers must self-evaluate before coming to the event. Should they meet any of the following guidelines, they may not attend the event:
- Should a volunteer have a fever (>100.4 degrees), cough or shortness of breath
- Should a volunteer have been on a cruise or traveled internationally in the previous 14 days
- Should a volunteer have had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (in the prior 14 days) or are currently in close contact with someone who is showing signs of COVID-19
- Should a volunteer show symptoms of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days before the event even without a positive test
