Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in the volunteer program of the Katy Charities Sip 'n Stroll. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Please provide the following information to register. We would welcome your participation in the Katy Sip 'n Stroll! The Sip 'n Stroll, Katy's largest wine festival, could not exist without volunteer support. All the information you need can be found on this site.

Please read the instructions thoroughly, completely fill out the requested information and return the registration form as soon as possible. The earlier you sign up, the better your chances of being assigned to your area and times of choice. Please note, completing the volunteer application does not ensure your participation. A final confirmation will be sent to those that are selected to participate.

Remember, volunteers represent the organizations producing and benefiting from the event. If the thought of remaining sober during your shifts bums you out, volunteering may not be for you. If greeting and helping wine enthusiasts does seem like something you want to do, then please keep reading. We want friendly, fun loving and dedicated volunteers only. Thank you for your interest and attention to our rules.

Location & Dates

The Katy Sip 'n Stroll will be held at Villagio Town Center at the intersection of Peek Rd. and Westheimer Parkway in Katy, Texas on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Minimum Age Requirements

All volunteers must be a minimum of 21 years of age before the event to volunteer. Photo ID will be checked upon arrival.

Check-In

You will need to check in at least 45 minutes prior to your shift start time. The location of the volunteer check-in area will be identified closer to the event.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility as a volunteer is to offer assistance and information to our guests and vendors in your assigned area. Please be courteous and helpful to all participants and offer any assistance to those with special needs.

On-Duty Rules

Volunteers may not (under any circumstances) over-indulge. Overindulgence on-site (or the appearance or suggestion of overindulgence) will result in immediate removal from the event. Remember, as a Sip 'n Stroll volunteer, we expect that you adhere to all rules & regulations while representing Cinco Charities to the public. Anyone taking advantage of this policy will be escorted out of the event. If you taste, you must taste conservatively.

Attendance

We count on your presence and your prompt arrival for your scheduled shift. If your schedule changes, please contact us immediately!

Arrival & Breaks

Please allow adequate time to allow for parking (to be discussed at a later time) and check-in, at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled shift time. Your breaks will be coordinated by your Volunteer Captain.

Attire

For this event, please come dressed in a comfortable business casual attire. Also, please make sure to wear comfortable shoes because you will be standing for some time.
